Classic game bejeweled 2 action and puzzle game.
Bejeweled has become one of the most popular skill games ever since it was introduced in 2000. Its popularity can be attributed to several factors. The first of these is the game itself. Even though simple in concept, Bejeweled is one of those games that encourage players to think hard. It is comprised of different game levels, which gradually become harder as the game continues. These game levels provide that challenge that you don't often find in other skill games.
The game's colorful graphics is the second factor. Bejeweled was creatively designed to please the eye. The jewels all look too good to be ignored. As a result, many players find it hard to resist playing the game.
The third factor that makes Bejeweled addictive is its game variety. Since the original Bejeweled came out in 2000, many variations immediately followed. These days, players can choose from a plethora of Bejeweled variations. Each variant was designed to provide a new brand of challenge. These variations can be found online and most of them come for free. Below are just some of the most common and favorite variations of Bejeweled:
The Classic Game
If you're new to Bejeweled, you'd be better off trying the Bejeweled Classic Game. As the name implies, the classic game is the original version of Bejeweled. In this game, your goal is to line up three gems at time to eliminate them from the board to make way for a set of gems. More often than not, the game levels in a classic Bejeweled game is not as difficult as in other Bejeweled variations. And since the classic game is the ideal game for beginners, it often comes with a step-by-step tutorial that will help newbies understand the concept and the rules of the game.
If movies have sequels, games have second versions. Bejeweled2, in other words, is the sequel of Bejeweled. In this version, the concept of the game is still the same but with new challenges. Apart from the jewels you need to line up, Bejeweled2 offers other jewels that have distinctive functions. These special jewels include the power gem and the hyper cube. The power gem, which appears when you swap four jewels, explodes the adjacent jewels. Meanwhile, the hyper cube, which appears when you swap five jewels, explodes all the jewel types next to it. Both gems can be used strategically to earn more points.
The Action Game
The Action game is simply a timed game. In this game variant, the challenge is to swap the required number of jewels in the quickest possible time. In an action game, time greatly affects a player's score. If you manage to dispatch the required number of jewels in the shortest period of time, you get extra points.
The Puzzle Game
This is the only game where the goal of the player is to clear off all the jewels. For every round, only one solution is provided. The player's mission is to clear the board by finding the right set of moves.
The Endless Game
Unlike the other Bejeweled variations where players are given time limits and other playing restrictions, an endless Bejeweled game allows you to play for as long as you like. As long as you still have jewels to swap, the game will never end.
