Ask Daniel Negreanu, a Canadian-born Poker Champion who was named as one of the nicest and top poker players in the whole world. He also holds a record for the youngest Pot-Limit Texas Hold'em when he became the champion at 23.

Born on July 26, 1974 in Toronto, Ontario to Romanian parents, Daniel is known as the 'wild man' of poker. He started playing billiards at a young age and was able to perfect his chosen sports during his teen years. However, despite his billiards skill, Daniel shifted to poker and started traveling the whole of Toronto as a rounder.

Furthermore, during Daniel's first relocation to Las Vegas from his hometown, he had had trouble overcoming mid limit games. But his determination and dedication brought him to where he is right now. He devoted himself to studying poker through watching and observing topnotch players. Consequently, he defeated several poker players until he got his breakthrough in the 1998 World Poker Finals.

During the same year, he had his first ever World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet. In the said tournament he won his first gold bracelet for the Pot-Limit Texas Hold'em event. He was then 23, the youngest event champion in the history of WSOP. From then on, he began winning several games including the United States Poker Championship in 1999 and WSOP Main Event 11TH placer in 2001.

The year 2004 was the best year for Daniel. He won the gold bracelet in the WSOP, and took home the money for five more events. As a result, ESPN awarded him the Toyota Player of the Year. In addition to his various winnings, he pocketed $1,117,400 after bagging the first place in the 2004 Borgata Poker Open. Another $1,770,218 money prize was brought home by Daniel when he won the Five Diamond World Poker Classic. Again, he was named 'Player of the Year,' this time by Card Player Magazine. He ranked second among all poker players with the highest amount of winning money.

To boot, Daniel is also a writer. He penned more than 100 columns for the magazine, Card Player. To add to his writing career, he maintains a blog at Full Contact Poker, which is very popular to many poker players. Daniel has also authored some parts of Super/System 2, a sequel to Super System- a Doyle Brunson's critically acclaimed poker book.

One can easily recognized Daniel Negreanu when he is playing. He usually wears a jersey with Toronto Maple Leaf, plus a headphone where he listens to soothing music that most people believe allows Daniel to win. As for his own beliefs, he believes that for most players his game is so entertaining. Yet there are people who showed antipathy towards his success and would consider it as only luck. Nevertheless, his writing ability, soft-hearted characteristic, and his openness to other poker aficionados made him one of today's famous poker players.
