Scott "The Buschmann" Fischmann was born in Langhorne, Pennsylvania on 1981. However, he grew up in South New Jersey. At age 12, he then moved to Las Vegas where he currently resides. Known as a professional poker player, Fischmann is also identified as the cousin of Jake Meltzer, a fashion supermodel.

One of Fischmann's friend, who was a grandson of a former World Series Of Poker (WSOP) champion, introduced him to the poker world. The young Fischmann had fallen in love with the game that he became a poker dealer at the Mirage and Sahara at age 21. Unfortunately, it was only a year since he started with his job when he suffered Rheumatoid Arthritis. This hampered his first ever poker-related job. Also, he needed to struggle so hard to make it as a professional poker player.

It was only in January 2004 that he entered his first professional poker tournament. It turned out to be a good game since he won 4th place in the Grand American Poker Classic held in Tunica, Mississippi. After that game, Fischmann had made it to several final tables, which include the Orleans Open, the Mirage Poker Showdown, and the World Series of Poker. He made an impressive game at the WSOP when he outsmarted two great players- John Cover and Joe Awada. All the more, Fischamnn holds a record for being the youngest player to win not only one but two WSOP gold bracelets at the 2004 WSOP. He got the bracelets from No Limit Hold'em and the very challenging H.O.R.S.E..

Fischmann possesses a lively personality making him a favorite in on-air poker games, and so catching the attention of no other than Hollywood celebrities like Tobey Maguire and Ben Affleck and another poker pro, Annie Duke. To boot, Fishmann is a member of "The Crew", a poker-playing group compose of Brett Jungblut, Tony Lazar, Joe Bartholdi Jr., David Smyth, Bobby Boyd, and Russ Boyd. He is also known for defeating Joe Cassidy and winning the WPT or World Poker Tour Young Guns of Poker Invitational. All the more, he could have won his third WSOP gold bracelet in 2005 had not Allen Cunningham beat him in the $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em.

In addition to his successful poker career, Fischmann had been invited as a commentator at the Ultimate Poker Challenge. He also earned the spokesperson position for "I'm All In Wear," a poker-inspired clothing line. He was also featured on How-To Video- giving advice on how to play poker- by Poker Exchange.

Fischmann also writes for Card Player Magazine, and is an active online poker player. He is identified on the online poker world as 'emptyseat88'. He is playing on several poker online including 'The Fish Tank'- his very own online poker site. A young player indeed, summing up all his winnings from live tournaments, Fischmann is already a millionaire on his own right for his winnings as of the year 2006 is only $20,000 short of $1.5 million.
